Issue

When attempting to access the disk via Windows Disk Management, the following error message appears:
"You must initialize the disk before Logical Disk Manager can access it: MBR/GPT."
The disk was not visible on the file explorer.
Additional observations:

  • The disk is not visible in File Explorer, confirming data inaccessibility.
  •  iSCSI Initiator shows a successful connection to the storage target.
  • The E-Series controller displays an LED code "99," indicating diagnostic/service mode.

Verified the storage system status as "Optimal" in SANtricity System Manager.
Confirmed no active errors in the Storage Array Profile.
