Answer

Q: How are FG`s created/managed in CVO?

  • FlexGroup volumes in CVO can only be created by using the CLI or ONTAP System Manager. Currently, you cannot use Blue XP SaaS or Connector UI to create FlexGroup volumes.

Q: Does Cloud Manager support FG Volumes?

  • While Cloud Volumes ONTAP supports FlexGroup volumes, Blue XP does not. If you create a FlexGroup volume from System Manager or from the CLI, then you should set Blue XP Connector’s Capacity Management mode to Manual. Automatic mode might not work properly with FlexGroup volumes.
