OpenStack Manila Fails to Create Share with ONTAP

Issue

When attempting to create a new share in OpenStack Manila using the NetApp ONTAP REST API driver, the operation fails. The following error is observed in the Manila share logs:
 
Creation of share instance <UUID> failed: failed to get share server: manila.share.drivers.netapp.dataontap.client.api.NaApiError: NetApp API failed. Reason -262196: Field "retention_period" cannot be set in this operation
