Issue

  • MGWD crashes on a ONTAP CVO node multiple times within a 24 hour period
  • The following type of logging is seen in the MGWD logs:

[netapp_node: mgwd: ucore.panicString:error]: 'mgwd: Received SIGABRT (Signal 6) at RIP 0x81dad4b9a (pid 4528, uid 0, timestamp 1648068029).'
[netapp_node: monitor: license.state.v2.modified:debug]: Licensing state for local node changed from true to false.
[netapp_node: spmd: spm.mgwd.process.exit:EMERGENCY]: Management Gateway (mgwd) subsystem with ID 4528 exited as a result of signal normal exit (0). The subsystem will attempt to restart.

  • API calls are still being made
  • Data is still being served but the node is slow accessing System Manager and CLI
