Answer

Yes.
  • CVO NetApp Volume Encryption (NVE) is supported for FIPS 140-2–compliant data-at-rest encryption of volumes.
  • For transit encryption, it depends on what protocol is used (CIFS, NFS…) and features (SnapMirror, FlexCache). Protocol level encryption exists for CIFS/SMB and NFS.
