Answer

  • In a single-node CVO configuration it is possible that the node may go down and we will not have the proper logging available to determine why it went down.
  • EMS logs will stop logging until the system is booted back up.
  • You can setup an EMS event notification for the cluster reboot event. It will be triggered once the cluster is online.

Example - Cluster Reboot Detected event :

Sat Feb 24 22:38:56 +0000 [cluster01-01: mgwd: clus.reboot.rebootDetected:notice]: Cluster reboot was detected at X/24/20XX 22:XX:XX. Sequence number for the cluster reboot was XX. Estimated beginning time of the cluster reboot was X/24/20XX 22:XX:XX.
