Azure CVO VM is not booting up

Issue

  • CVO VMs are not booting up even though it is powered on from Azure portal.
  • VM redeploy did not fix the issue.
  • The following errors are seen in the console boot log :

    Failed to get maintenance event data from scheduledevents. Rebooting.
    Unable to retrieve azure Instance meta-data (instance/compute/name)

    [Jul 27 08:47:50]: 0x801009000: 0: NOTICE: RpcConnectionCache: markFailure: markFailure: New Quarantine for localhost:536873474(spmd)/1[tcp]{fffffffd|ffffffff} with timeout(20.000s) Reason:: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to send
