Global File Cache: Can the Operating System be reinstalled along with GFC software without losing the current Cache?

Answer

  • Yes, the Edge OS can be rebuilt and GFC can be reinstalled with out losing the cache. As long as the the Cache drive is not formatted during the process. 
  • You will want to make sure the rebuilt Edge retains its original Name and IP Address. 
  • During the OS rebuild the Cache drive must have the drive letter D:\ assigned to it.
