Under high ARP traffic environment, the Workload Security Data Collector goes into "Connector is in error state"

Issue

  • The following error is shown in DII GUI > Workload Security > Data CollectorStatus:

Connector is in error state. Service name: audit. Reason for failure: External fpolicy server terminated., Service name: inventorySvm. Reason for failure: Failed to refresh inventory for svm type of items. Reason: Unexpected HTTP response code received for vserver-get-iter from xxx.xx.xxx.xx: 500

  • Shortly after the above error, ONTAP experiences an unexpected reboot.
