Unable to manage or upgrade Cloud Volumes ONTAP because the connector is inactive in BlueXP

Issue

  • CVO upgrades are successfully performed during a planned maintenance schedule
  • Some time later, BlueXP is unable to connect to working environments to perform more CVO upgrades
  • It is noted that that the Connector is inactive in BlueXP GUI
  • There are no outages or relevant BlueXP maintenance events
  • Waiting some time or restarting the Connector does not help
  • On attempting to connect to the Connector local UI, an error is displayed stating the connector doesn't have access to the internet or proxy is not configured
