Issue

Controller goes offline and in lockdown and is unable to serve any data.
 
Recovery GURU may report:
  • Failure Entry 2: OFFLINE_CTL-Recovery Failure Type Code: 28

Event log may report:

  • The controller's BMC is unresponsive - Shelf 99, Bay <A or B>
If AutoSupport is enabled, one or more of the following errors may be report:
  • ECRFLT:E-Series Notification from <controller name> (Controller redundancy lost) CRITICAL

  • An additional ECRFLT:E-Series Notification from <controller name> (This controller's alternate is non-functional and is being heldiin reset) CRITICAL has been reported for this system

  • ECRFLT:E-Series Notification from <array name> (Write-back caching forcibly disabled) CRITICAL

  • EHWENC:E-Series Notification from <array name> (Entering invalid system configuration) CRITICAL
