E-Series failed disk pool volumes on SANtricity OS pre-8.30.40.00 or pre-8.40.10 due to hardware failures

  • Dynamic Disk Pool (DDP)
  • Controller Platforms: E26xx, E54xx, E55xx, E56xx, E28xx, E57xx and all associated EF-Series
  • SANtricity OS Controller Software pre-8.30.40  (Not Equal)
  • SANtricity OS Controller Software pre-8.40.10  (Not Equal)

Note: The SANtricity OS versions are considered within the same major release. For example, 8.30.50 is not included here. 

Issue

  • Failed volumes in dynamic disk pool(s) due to drive hardware failures.
  • Volume failures due to power loss or connectivity issues are NOT considered hardware failures.
