What are the minimum required bandwidth and latency for FabricPool connection?

Answer

There are no strict connectivity requirements for FabricPool.
 
However, if a SATA-like performance is required, then the following minimums must be met:
  • ONTAP S3 facing LIF - 10gbps
  • End-to-End connectivity - 10gbps
  • Average S3 Server Latency of 20-30ms for S3 GET OPS
 
On the other hand, FabricPool can tolerate latencies as high as 10 seconds for the solutions that don’t require SATA performance.
