Issue

  • The following error may be seen when Microsoft SQL Server tries to access files on the CIFS share:
Cannot bulk load because the file \\LIF_DNS_NAME\Share1\RemoteApps\SQL Data\Rawdata_1.csv could not be opened.
Operating system error code 5 (Access is denied.)
  • Windows Explorer can access the same file without the error
