Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • Clustered Data ONTAP 8
  • 7-Mode Transition Tool

Description

Migration to cluster.
It is not possible to access any folders/files after a 7MTT migration and this causes the New Technology File System (NTFS) permission to only display UNIX users.

May also come from user error or other unexpected causes.

Note: This process is not the recommended method for NTFS ACL management. It is recommended to use the Windows 'Security' tab whenever possible. This process should be used when NTFS ACL management is not available via Windows.
