Answer

  • Priority selection is based on the following conditions.
    • The order of Node Management LIF → Cluster Management LIF → InterCluster LIF (if created) created during system construction.
    • Metric value.
  1. Initially, it is determined in the order of Node Management LIF → Cluster Management LIF → InterCluster LIF (if created) during system construction.
  2. Next, the values of Metric in the above order (at the time of construction) are also in order, or if they are the same, the priority is selected in order.
  3. In addition, when the Metric value in the above order (at the time of construction) is in order, the Metric value will be prioritized and the priority will be selected.
  4. The order of 1 to 3 above is decided, when Lif down/up occurs,The order of the corresponding Lif goes down and the next Metric value will be selected.
  • Rare condition:

When the order after construction is broken and they are lined up, the Metric value is considered, and the LIF including the InterclusterLIF of the port with the lowest Metric value (the smallest number) is selected.

InterclusterLIF is originally supposed to be selected as a last resort when both Node Management LIF and Cluster Management LIF are Down, but when they are not lined up in the official order after construction, the Metric value has the highest priority.
Due to the specification for route selection, Intercluster LIF may be selected as the highest priority route even when both Node Management LIF and Cluster Management LIF are Up.
