File permissions for owner, group reflect as nfsnobody for ONTAP 9

Issue

  • When the root user instigates the touch command to create a file, the file owner, group  is set to nfsnobody (Superuser Security Type is preset to 'any'):
    • ::> export-policy rule show -vserver svm-ha -instance
      • Example Output:
        • Vserver: svm-ha

Policy Name: default

Access Protocol: any Client Match Hostname, IP Address, Netgroup, or Domain: 0.0.0.0/0
RO Access Rule: any
RW Access Rule: any User ID To Which Anonymous Users Are Mapped: 65534

  • ls -la command output reflects the file owner,group as nfsnobody:
