Issue

  • Conversion to FlexGroup fails with Volume has invalid on-disk flags or options error:
::> set adv
::*> volume conversion start -vserver vs1 -volume vol1 -foreground true
Error: [Job 26893] Job failed: Volume conversion failed. Reason: Internal Error: Volume has invalid on-disk flags or options.
  • Starting in ONTAP 9.10.1, the error text was changed to the following:
::> set adv
::*> volume conversion start -vserver vs1 -volume vol1Error: command failed: [Job 233788] Job failed: Volume conversion failed. Reason: Volume with DSID 8029 cannot be converted to a FlexGroup volume because its configuration is not supported by FlexGroup volumes. Contact technical support
for further assistance.
