Issue

  • CIFS clients experience a high latency after implementing the FPolicy solution
  • Intermittent issues in accessing CIFS shares
  • EMS log shows maxPendingReq and server disconnect message:
    Mon Apr 2 18:00:40 +0000 [CLUSTER-01: fpolicy: fpolicy.server.maxPendingReq:info]: Maximum outstanding requests for the FPolicy server "10.1.2.4" has reached.
    Mon Apr 2 18:00:41 +0000 [CLUSTER-01: fpolicy: fpolicy.server.disconnect:error]: Connection to the FPolicyserver "10.1.2.4" of policy "fpolicy1" is broken for Vserver CLUSTER_SVM_CIFS ( reason: "Server progress timeout is hit." )
  • Affected policy indicates external engine type being synchronous:
