NetApp Element Software versions 12.0 and prior

Description

Note: The procedure below only applies to clusters running versions prior to Element 12.2; in 12.2 and above, a specific API method exists which replaces the manual steps below. See How to use Maintenance Mode in Element Software for details.

This KB will list the API calls to use for putting a node manually in maintenance mode while:

  • node is still part of the cluster
  • drives are not synced out
Handle with caution as it will put the cluster in a degraded state
