Element cluster UI shows old login prompt and has missing or incorrect icons post upgrade to 12.0 or above

Issue

After successfully upgrading a cluster to 12.0 or above, the cluster web UI at https://<cluster_mvip> accepts the cluster credentials and loads a functional UI, but some combination of UI elements is incorrect, such as:

1. The cluster is prompting for login via the older https auth method rather than redirecting to the newer login page (HCC).

  • old UI (incorrect for 12.0+):

  • new UI (correct for 12.0+):

2. a 'SolidFire' icon is in place in the upper lefthand corner of the UI rather than the 'NetApp' icon.

3. 'QoS Policies' is missing from the Management tab.
