When installing plugin from GUI, it stops and status indicates "no plugin installed"

  • SnapCenter Plug-In for Oracle (SCO)

Issue

  • SC GUI is unable to install the SCO plug-in and shows no plugin installed.
  • Error messages from the SnapManagerWeb_jobid.log file:

chmod: changing permissions of ‘/var/opt/snapcenter/logs/SnapCenter_LINUX_Host_Plug-in_Install_.log’: 
Operation not permitted
Unable to restrict the execute permission for '/var/opt/snapcenter/logs/' directory after installation. 
Manually exclude the execute permission for log files.
Installation of the package "snapcenter_linux_host_plugin.bin" failed on the host " with ErrorCode:184, error:
