SnapCenter fails to backup VMs due to communication with SVM times out

Issue

  • SnapCenter falis to discover resources by the following error during backup VMs.

Unable to get storage details for datastore <DATASTORE> with managed object reference <DATASTORE>. Storage system(s) may need to be added, also ensure that the associated host is in a connected state.

  • The following error message is reported in the SnapDriveSALDebug.log/SCW_<Job_ID>.log file.

Critical SAL PID=[XXXX] TID=[XXXX] The running command stopped because the preference variable "ErrorActionPreference" or common parameter is set to Stop: Connection to <SVM> on port 443 for protocol HTTPS timed out.
