Setting SnapCenter credentials on the DAG name fails on IP-less DAG

Issue

  • The following command on the SnapCenter Server fails when the DAG name has not IP address in DNS:

PS C:\windows\system32> Set-SmHost -HostName <DAG.domain.com> -CredentialName <credential-name>
Set-SmHost : failed to set host in maintenance mode. Modify host operation failed.

  • The same error can be observed in the SnapCenter GUI when attempting to place the host in Maintenance Mode
