Answer

All MetroCluster storage adapters need to be operated at the highest common speed.

Example:

A node has utilizes 32gbps and 16gbps ports for storage connections to a 32gpbs MetroCluster backend switch.

All storage ports need to then be operated at 16gbps speed as the highest common speed.
