SAN initiator group showing empty in System manager GUI after upgrade

Issue

  • Post ONTAP Upgrade from 9.8 to 9.11, SAN initiator groups show empty (no initiators added) in GUI but are present in the CLI.  Additionally, hosts are connected and have no issues. SAN initiator group showing empty in System manager GUI after upgrade
  • REST APIs fail to show initiators when viewing or retrieving igroups.
  • Adding the missing initiators to the igroups fails indicating that they already contain the initiators
  • Deleting the igroups fail with error : Initiator group does not contain the initiator as shown below

::*> lun igroup remove -vserver XX -igroup IG -initiator 50:06:0b:00:00:c2:8y:XX -force
Error: command failed: Initiator group does not contain the initiator

  •  Network->FC Ports were not detected and showing empty
