Node failed to boot with "Waiting for reservations to clear" in CVO on GCP

Applies to

  • High Availability Interconnect (HA IC) Link up
  • Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) down

Issue

  • Node-02 taken over by Node-01 and IC link is up but RDMA is down.
  • Node-02 fails to come to waiting for giveback state and auto-giveback deferred with console showing Reservation conflict found on this node's disks!
  • Stop and Start of instance hosting Node-02 from GCP console brings back to same state and storage failover show shows state as unknown.
