Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • CIFS
  • Automated Non-Disruptive Upgrade (ANDU)

Risk Summary

The boot argument variable bootarg.gb.override.lmgr.veto is set to True on one or more nodes.

Impact:
  • The boot argument is used by ONTAPs Automated Non-Disruptive Upgrade (ANDU) process and should be unset once ANDU has completed.
  • It is necessary to unset the bootarg if ANDU is not in progress.  If left set, it will automatically override vetoes during a failover giveback which could cause a service disruption.
