Cluster peeringĀ  fails due to intercluster LIF failover

Issue

  • Cluster peer ping fails when intercluster LIF is failed over.
  • ONTAP System Manager did not have the routing to send the LIF home from another node (button greyed out).
  • SnapMirror updates are failing to destination peer cluster.
  • Peer destination not available when trying to resume SnapMirror relationships.
  • cluster peer ping command will show "unreachable" status:
    cluster::> cluster peer ping
