NDMP restores fail with error 'Cannot restore files with NT streams'

Issue

NDMP restore fails with below error:
 
RESTORE: Warning: Cannot restore files with NT streams
 
You'd see below errors in the Commvault nasRestore.log
 
NDMP WARNING[x.x.x.x] 4: RESTORE: Warning: Cannot restore files with NT streams : /vol/volname/lun
NDMP ERROR[x.x.x.x] 5: RESTORE: Error: No files were created.
NDMP INFO[x.x.x.x] 6: RESTORE: RESTORE IS ABORTED
NDMP ERROR[x.x.x.x] 7: DATA: Operation terminated: EVENT: INTERNAL ERROR (for volname)
Data Halt: received DATA_HALT with reason [NDMP_DATA_HALT_INTERNAL_ERROR]
