RHEL does not detect MetroCluster remote LUN

Issue

  • After creating new LUN on remote MetroCluster Cluster ( MCC ) running /usr/bin/rescan-scsi-bus.sh does not detect new LUN device
  • SAN frabrics at both sites are healthy and ISL has no errors

porterrshow indicates no port errors

  • ONTAP indicates no SFP optical issue

network fcp adapter show -node * -fields sfp-rx-power, sfp-tx-power, switch-port

  • IMT checked and verified
  • Path / FC link latency / hops and distance within specifications
  • LUN on the local fabric/Storage are detected
  • Troubleshooting and configuration have been checked
