- SAN boot lun
- Windows Host
- Ontap 9
No, SAN drive(boot lun) would not be accessible, when the host is down for a crash dump.
- When the crash dump is taken on windows host we boot through the SAN LUN.
- When booting through the LUN, LUN path would go down, i.e the Windows Host can not find the LUN.
- Since existing paths to the lun are not accessible, crash dump can not be saved on the boot lun.
Suggest to reach out to Microsoft for some alternate solution.
