Description

Often there are intermittent issues that prevent the access to data via NFS logging some error messages on client-side
but no error on filer side

Aug 27 13:22:54 ubuntu kernel: [259435.957429] nfs: server test93 not responding, still trying
Aug 27 13:23:08 ubuntu kernel: [259450.703137] nfs: server test93 OK

Aug 27 13:51:44 ubuntu kernel: [261166.099052] nfs: server test93 OK

These errors are not enough to understand where is the problem and we need to collect more data to solve the issue

First of all, we need to collect information about the impact of this issue

When did this problem first start?
Is the problem specific to remote clients? To local clients? To all clients?
What version of NFS protocols are affected?
How is this storage system connected to the network? Is the storage system using a Gigabit Ethernet port? Is the client/server connected via Gigabit or 100Base-T?
Is this problem constantly occurring or only at certain times?
There was an activity, even not directly related to the filer?
