CIFS file copy fails with  invalid argument error

Issue

  • Ubuntu mounts CIFS share via gvfs. 
  • An Invalid argument error is seen when copying a file from one folder to another inside the CIFS share via the Thunar File Manager.

  • File copy works from the local drive to the CIFS share.
