Issue

  • The client may experience this error when performing the mount:

user@machine:~$ sudo mount -t nfs -o vers=3 <ip>:/<volume> /mnt

  • In the syslog and dmesg output of the client, this error message may be seen:

RPC: server <ip> requires stronger authentication
