KB article describes procedure to check ONTAP cifs latency with Nblade.CifsOperationTimedOut and SpinNp error 410

  • Ensure if there is any performance issues reported in the environment and volume (DS ID) has enough operations for the event duration to review further. 
  • ONTAP cifs latency or slowness with repeating Nblade.CifsOperationTimedOut error including SpinNp error 410:

Nblade.CifsOperationTimedOut: Detected a timed out CIFS operation. SMB command for this operation: SMB2_COM_CREATE, Number of times this command was suspended: 6, Number of times this command was restarted: 0, Last CSM error during this operation: CSM_OK, Remote blade UUID: abcdef123456789abcdef123456789ab, Is QoS enabled: QoS_disabled, Last SpinNp error during this operation: 410, Client IP address: 10.x.x.x, Local IP address: 10.x.x.x, Target Vserver ID: #, Target disk's DSID: 0
