Compression enabled volumes won't read from Flash/External  cache

Issue

  • The READ hits from external cache would not happen for a volume which has compression enabled.
  • This would lead to more reads happening from the Disk layer and higher would be the latency driven from the spinning media(Disks)
  • In case of more number of compressed volumes , a system may suffer from high Disk utilization , as the external cache would be barely used.
