Issue

  • Flexcache/Flexgroup volume creation fails with error "Flexgroup do not support SMB1"

cluster::*>volume flexcache create -volume cache_test -origin-volume volA -origin-vserver server1 -size 3gb

Warning: The recommended size of the FlexCache volume is 16GB. If the FlexCache volume is less than this size, it might run out of space to cache data.

[Job 109848] Rolling back the FlexCache volume creation

Error: command failed: [Job 109848] Job failed: SMB1 is enabled on Vserver "server2". FlexGroups do not support SMB1.

  • Verify that CIFS is enabled for the vserver 

Example: The svm below does not have CIFS enabled as it is not listed under "Allowed Protocols"
