Issue

  • New controllers arrive with ONTAP 9.6 and netboot process must be used to install ONTAP 9.7
  • Attempting to netboot from loader prompt errors with

Unrecognized archive format error

  • The image is confimed good and downloaded a second time with same checksum
  • The netboot image is tested to be accessible for download on an external webserver
  • The image is not extracted or decompressed
  • The same happens on the HA partner
