Switchback vetoed due to switch ISL down

Issue

  • Switchback is not possible and it fails with an error

Example:

ClusterA::> metrocluster switchback

Warning: switchback is about to start. It will stop all the switched over data Vservers on cluster "ClusterA" and automatically restart them on cluster "ClusterB".
Do you want to continue? {y|n}: y
[Job 3408] Aborting the switchback operation...
[Job 3408] Job failed: Failed to validate the node and cluster components before the switchback operation. Use the "metrocluster operation show" command to view detailed error information. Resolve the errors, then try the command again.

ClusterA::> metrocluster operation show

 Operation: switchback
     State: failed
Start Time: 6/13/2023 14:25:54
  End Time: 6/13/2023 14:26:31
    Errors: Failed to validate the node and cluster components before the switchback operation.
            ClusterA::ClusterB (non-overridable veto): Unable to validate periodic message from DR partner node. This                  might be due to misconfigured interconnect. Use "metrocluster interconnect show" command and verify states                  of all connections is up. Retry the operation. If failure persists, contact support.

  • Metrocluster interconnect show shows status "up"
