Applies to

  • MetroCluster FC
  • virtual interface over Fibre Channel (FC-VI) card replacement

Issue

  • The FC-VI Card was replaced in one of the two node MetroCluster FC
  • Attempting to switch back fails with the error message:

Errors: Failed to validate the node and cluster components before the switchback operation.
node1 (non-overridable veto): Failed to read DR partner state. Verify that the Fibre Channel interconnect is up and retry the operation.

  • ClusterA-01 (Which took over ClusterA-02) does not have an address in the output of metrocluster interconnect adapter show
