Redundancy degraded due to Emulex adapter in a hung state

Issue

  • Sysconfig -a shows configuration transitioned to Multi-Path HA, due to an adapter being offline:
slot 1: FC Host Adapter 1d (Emulex XE501 rev. 1, <OFFLINE (hard)>)
 
  • ONTAP doesn't recognise if  SFP is swapped with a good one (still shows old S/N)
  • Re-seating the SFP doensn't change the status
