Applies to
- AFF-A900
- ONTAP 9.15.1P11
- MetroCluster IP
Issue
- After performing a manual non-disruptive upgrade (NDU) of ONTAP in a MetroCluster IP (MCC-IP) environment, the raidDegradedMirrorAggrAlert appeared in EMS.
- Multiple disks in the same shelf were reported as “FAILED” and not detected by ONTAP.
- The affected aggregates (e.g., node1_aggr1/plex1 and node2_aggr1/plex1) were shown as offline, failed, and inactive.
- RAID group status: “partial, block checksums” with missing disks.
Example:
Plex /node1_aggr1/plex1 (offline, failed, inactive) RAID group /node1_aggr1/plex1/rg0 (partial, block checksums)
