RaidDegradedMirrorAggrAlert after manual ONTAP upgrade

Issue

  • After performing a manual non-disruptive upgrade (NDU) of ONTAP in a MetroCluster IP (MCC-IP) environment, the raidDegradedMirrorAggrAlert appeared in EMS.
  • Multiple disks in the same shelf were reported as “FAILED” and not detected by ONTAP.
  • The affected aggregates (e.g., node1_aggr1/plex1 and node2_aggr1/plex1) were shown as offline, failed, and inactive.
  • RAID group status: “partial, block checksums” with missing disks.

Example:

  Plex /node1_aggr1/plex1 (offline, failed, inactive)
    RAID group /node1_aggr1/plex1/rg0 (partial, block checksums)
