MetroCluster resync is slow after maintenance activity

Issue

  • A MetroCluster switchover is performed and the partner MetroCluster site has maintenance activity
  • The other site is brought online and is healthy, but it is noted MetroCluster plex aggregate resync is running for many hours instead of a few minutes 
  • Switchback is not allowed due to the pending resync
  • The MetroCluster backend Fabric is checked and found to be healthy
