MetroCluster Brocade G610, G620 switch login failures

Issue

  • Login to the switch via SSH or console fails, username can be entered but no password prompt is returned
  • SSH connection attempts may fail with:
    Connection closed by 1
    Or:
    Remote side unexpectedly closed network connection
  • Attempting to connect over HTTPS may result in:
    Forbidden. You don't have permission to access this resource
  • When connected via console you see either these errors:
switch01 login:
