Issue

  • Mediator unavailable on one side of MetroCluster in Ontap System Manager caused by unavailable cluster peering
  • MGWD is reporting:
    ERR: mediator_rest: populate_fields:src/tables/rest/mediator_rest.cc:118 Failed get on the mailbox table: Failed to contact peer cluster "cluster1" at addresses: X.X.X.X, X.X.X.X RPC: Remote system error [from mgwd on node "cluster2-01" (VSID: -1) to mgwd at X.X.X.X, X.X.X.X] 
  • ::>metrocluster configuration-settings mediator show displays all connections to mediator as true
