Issue

  • There are errors in the EMS log showing the Mediator iSCSI session changing to a 'Reconnecting' state
 
Example:

Tue Aug 17 21:27:52 +0200 [NODE-A-01: kernel: iscsi.session.stateChanged:notice]: iSCSI session state is changed to Reconnecting for the target iqn.2012-05.local:mailbox.target.XXXXXXXXXXXXX:1 (type: mailbox, address: 1.2.3.4). Reason: no ping reply after 5 seconds.
Tue Aug 17 21:28:02 +0200 [NODE-A-01: kernel: iscsi.session.stateChanged:notice]: iSCSI session state is changed to Reconnecting (destroy sim) for the target iqn.2012-05.local:mailbox.target.XXXXXXXXXXXXX:1 (type: mailbox, address: 1.2.3.4). Reason: session login timed out 2 times.

 
  • The Mediator syslog shows iSCSI timeouts between the Mediator host and the storage node's FreeBSD layer
