Answer
MetroCluster as the source of the SVM-DR
- Starting with ONTAP 9.5, SnapMirror storage virtual machine (SVM) replication is supported on MetroCluster configurations with a limitation to one side of MetroCluster
- The source SVM DR relationship information is replicated to the MetroCluster DR Site
- Vservers that are part of a MetroCluster configuration can act as source for only one Vserver DR relationship.
MetroCluster as the destination of the SVM-DR
- Starting with ONTAP 9.5, SnapMirror storage virtual machine (SVM) replication is supported with MetroCluster as the destination via a process documented in TR-4966.
- There is a limitation of only SVM's hosting NAS services.
- Only a single SVM can be migrated at a time.
- See TR-4966 for all requirements and limitations.
MetroCluster as the source and destination of the SVM-DR
- Not supported.
