Description

ONTAP system health monitor reports "DomainMismatchFromNodeToShelf_Alert" on a MetroCluster IP system with switch attached NS224 shelves.

Probable Cause Configuration_error
Description The storage domain between the nodes ClusterA-01, ClusterA-02 and switch IP_Switch_x_2 is different from the domain between the switch and shelves 4.40, 4.50, 4.60, 4.70.
Corrective Actions Connect the switch IP_Switch_x_2 to both the node and the shelves with the same storage domain, following the guide applicable to your shelf.
Possible Effect This issue will affect conversions to direct-attached storage.
