Answer
NetApp MetroCluster can be a source or destination for SnapMirror or SnapVault.
After a switchover or switchback:
- If MetroCluster volume is SM/SV source:
- Peering is automatically updated
- Active replication transfers will be terminated
- Replication resumes at the next interval
- If MetroCluster volume is SM/SV destination:
- Beginning with NetApp ONTAP® 9 replication relationships no longer need to be recreated after a switchover/switchback
- Replication rebaseline not required
